THE TOURISM FOR TOMORROW WINNERS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

Susann Kruegel is Manager, e-Strategy and Tourism for Tomorrow Awards at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). She has been with the company since 2006 and has held this position since 2008. Her responsibilities are to manage the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards programme and to oversee WTTC's internet-related activities, including WTTC's three corporate websites.
Susann holds a BA Negot with Distinction from the University of Southern Denmark in Tourism and Leisure Management, as well as a BA Hons degree with First from the University of Applied Science in Wernigerode, Germany, in International Tourism Studies. She has been invited back to both universities as a guest lecturer. Susann is currently enrolled at King's College London where she is studying for a Masters degree (MSc) in Tourism, Environment and Development.
Having specialised in sustainable tourism during her academic studies and professional career, Susann assumed responsibility for the Awards at WTTC in 2006 and has served as an on-site evaluator for finalists on several occasions. Her interest in sustainable travel and tourism stems from a very early age since, although German by nationality, Susann has lived abroad for the most of her life in countries as diverse as the USA, Russia, Sri Lanka, the UK and Denmark.
Now based in London, Susann pursues her travel interests within and outside WTTC, plays the alto saxophone to relax and enjoys reading, especially good travel books.
