This statement sets out the World Travel & Tourism Council's (WTTC) policy in relation to holding and using information which it may obtain from you in the course of your use of this website.
In certain areas of the website, your data may be requested in order that we can send you relevant information. We deliberately keep the data we request to the absolute minimum and we only use this data in connection with the facilities or information that you require.
WTTC cannot ensure the secure receipt of any information sent to WTTC over the internet and therefore such information is sent at your own risk. Whilst WTTC takes all reasonable precautions to protect any personally identifiable information for loss, misuse, alteration or destruction and complies with data protection legislation, data transmission over the internet may not be adequately secured by the sender.
If you have opted to provide WTTC with information about yourself, WTTC may use this information to contact you by e-mail or by post and to send you details about its products and any other information which WTTC believes may be of interest to you. WTTC will not pass information it holds about you to any other organisation.
Under the Data Protection Act 1998 (or equivalent legislation which may be in force from time to time in other countries within the European Community), you may request details of personal information WTTC holds about you.
WTTC will own the information you supply to it and/or which it collects on you and can use any personal data in such information in accordance with the relevant data protection notice and/or as otherwise agreed with you from time to time.
You may withdraw your consent to our processing personal data on you and we will try to process such change and act accordingly as soon as reasonably practicable. However, we may still need to process data on you any way for other reasons e.g. to fulfill a contract with you or to keep records for legal reasons, and we shall still be entitled to do so.
