Conservation Foundation

The Leading Travel Companies is a collection of quality international Travel & Tourism companies offering an extensive selection of holiday options across the globe.

Catering to all travel styles and budgets, the portfolio includes world-leading escorted touring, river cruising and premier independent holiday companies among its broad offering. To support sustainable tourism, The Leading Travel Companies Conservation Foundation was established in 2008 and is a not-for-profit organisation that works to protect ecologically and culturally sensitive areas around the world.

The Foundation is a joint initiative by AAT Kings, Brendan Worldwide Vacations, Busabout, Contiki Holidays, Eastern Trekker, Evan Evans Tours, Grand European Tours, Haggis Adventures, Insight Vacations, Milestones, Shamrocker Adventures, Trafalgar Tours and Uniworld.

The Foundation was launched in 2008 with a US$1 million grant allocating funds to sustainable tourism and conservation projects in Brazil, Australia, Botswana and Venice, Italy, and is a significant supporter of the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards as well.

In 2009, the Foundation has continued its fundraising and will extend its work to North America to ensure the preservation of national parks and wildlife.
