The World Travel & Tourism Council is delighted to present
the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards.
The Tourism for Tomorrow Awards recognise and promote the world's
leading examples of best practice in responsible tourism development
across four categories:
The winning entry for each category will be invited to an awards
ceremony at a special Gala Dinnner at the Global Travel & Tourism
Summit in April 2008 in Dubai, UAE and will be featured by some or all of
our media sponsors. In addition, winners may use the Tourism for
Tomorrow logo on marketing material and their website.

The Tourism for Tomorrow Awards were set up in 1989 by the Federation
of Tour Operators to encourage action from all sectors of the industry
to protect the environment.
In 1992, British Airways took over the running of the Awards, developing
them to encompass all aspects of sustainable tourism, with the explicit
aim of leading the industry in this field. The programme has been
pioneering and successful in raising awareness of the sustainability
agenda in the tourism industry, and promoting and improving best
practice.
Over the years, Tourism for Tomorrow has been supported by eminent
figures in the world of conservation, such as Professor David Bellamy
and Sir Crispin Tickell. Winning entries have been featured on ITV’s
‘Wish You Were Here!’ programme and in the national
and international press.
